About us:
What began as a thought, a dream, turned into research, concrete plans and ultimately led to the discovery of our place.
Who are we? Erwin has his roots in Limburg (B), but after his studies he stayed in Leuven (Flemish Brabant). Annie was born and raised in the Leuven area.
When we met, a number of things quickly became clear: our love for animals, our passion for food, cooking, pleasure and our dream of building a new life abroad.
The South of France fascinated us both, so we went on holiday there to explore and discover what we were looking for. As we weren’t just looking for a holiday home but also wanted to live there long term, our wish list was quite long:
-location, charming property;
-accessibility, route by car, high-speed train, airport
-location/access to shops for daily groceries but also more generally, doctor, pharmacy, vet
-things to do in the area: nature, culture, relaxation, markets, beautiful sites, beautiful villages but also more general
After several years of travelling during different seasons, we decided on the region. Now we just had to find a suitable building… During the summer of 2019, we visited a few buildings, and the estate agent suggested one more. We loved the photos, and what we saw in person impressed us even more. We immediately fell in love with this property. After a few weeks of email exchanges and negotiations, the deal was done.
Suddenly, the moment had arrived: we had found ‘our place’ in the south of France, in Argilliers, a picturesque French village in the Gard region, halfway between Uzès and the Pont-du-Gard.
